Baked Halibut with Lemon Caper Sauce

halibut filets

olive oil
3
cloves
minced garlic

minced shallot
2
Tbsp
capers
drained

Tbsp
chopped Italian parsley
zest of 1 lemon
juice of 1 lemon
salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F.
In a small bowl, combine 2 cloves of minced garlic, lemon zest, and 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley.
In a large nonstick baking dish, add halibut skin side down and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of oil. Season with salt & pepper.
Top each filet with the garlic, parsley, and lemon zest mixture. Bake for 20 minutes, until halibut flakes easily when tested with a fork.
Meanwhile, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a small saucepan. Add shallot and 1 clove of mince garlic. Sauté for one minute stirring constantly.
Stir in capers, 2 tablespoons chopped parsley, and lemon juice. Cook for one minute and remove from heat.
Remove halibut from oven. Plate the fish and spoon lemon caper sauce over the top.
