bulk Italian sausage

rigatoni

Instructions
Put tomato paste in a large saucepan. Add 1/2 cup water and whisk until lumps are gone and it is a thick sauce.
Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, and a half a can of water.
Place pan on high heat. Add garlic powder, Italian seasoning, basil, oregano, and paprika. Stir well.
Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 30 – 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Brown sausage in a skillet, breaking it up with the back of a spoon. Drain browned sausage in a colander to remove the grease.
Stir drained sausage into the sauce. Simmer for an hour.
Bring 6 cups of water to a boil in a large pot. Once water is at a boil, add salt and rigatoni. Stir.
Cook pasta until al dente, stirring occasionally. Drain pasta.
Pour meat sauce over the rigatoni and stir to combine. Serve with grated parmesan cheese and Italian bread.
